In 2020, based on the study conducted by the Department of Health (DOH) published in the Philippine Star, End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) is already the 7th leading cause of death among Filipinos with a recorded total of 32,453 cases across the country. ESRD is the result of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) or the gradual loss of kidney function. Unfortunately, statistics show that the number of CKD patients grows between 10% to 15% annually.

In order to continue to survive, people diagnosed with CKD have only 2 options available – 1. have a kidney transplant (which is a very expensive procedure and that is if a patient is able to find a donor); 2. undergo dialysis treatment 2 to 3 times a week. Given that kidney donors are very rare, dialysis treatment is the only viable option. The increasing demand for dialysis treatment is evidently shown by the comeuppance of free- standing dialysis centers across the nation but mostly located in the urban areas and almost non-existent in the rural parts of the country. As weak as they are, patients need to travel far and wide to receive dialysis treatment.

Our founder, MR. JEFFERLYX NATIVIDAD, with his uncanny business acumen, saw that there is opportunity in this hapless situation. And having a business in this arena has the potential to be very successful based on the criteria of a business being PROFITABLE, SUSTAINABLE and SCALABLE.

In response, JL DIALMED TRADING CO., a company engaged in the dialysis industry – was conceived. The company started out as a trader of dialysis supplies which evolved into manufacturing its own products, into fabrication and contracting, into importation and most recently, into dialysis center operations. As an organization, we feel that our experience and the lessons we learned in this industry as well as the 22-year experience of our President, MR. JEFFERLYX O. NATIVIDAD, serve us well moving forward – but still not enough to even scratch the surface and make sizable differences. Not to mention the pandemic caused by the Covid-19 virus, the problems not only persist but worsen.

Now, more than ever, we strongly believe that the best thing we can do today is to further expand our reach and introduce our products and services to more clients. We do this by evolving into a one-stop shop for all dialysis-related needs – from design to construction to installation to supplying the consumables and dialysis center operations up to infectious waste management.

The DIALMED GROUP OF COMPANIES is composed of JL DIALMED TRADING CO., DIACON Construction MR. TRUSTBIN Environmental and Maintenance Services, Dialmed Dialysis Center, and JM Creatives.

Our mother company, JL DIALMED TRADING CO., started out as a trader of dialysis supplies which evolved into manufacturing its own products, then into fabrication and contracting of dialysis center projects, into importation of dialysis-related products and most recently, into dialysis center operations.
